Drawing a line in the sand

There comes a time in every serious MLM’er career that they draw the line. They come to that point where they have had enough.

They have had enough of the crazy people. They have had enough of their uplines rhetoric. They have had enough of people in their downline never doing anything. They have had enough of listening to people that are not making the kind of money that they want to make. They have had enough of spending a lot of time and money on leads that don’t work.

They have just had enough of the "hype" and nonsense of it all.

They draw the line in the sand. They make some serious decisions about changing the way that they are doing business. They decide that enough is enough, and they will not continue to go in the direction that they have been going with their business.

This is the point that people really start to get serious about their business, and start treating it like a business. This is where the rubber meats the road.

I can always tell when I am talking with someone on the phone if they have reached that point yet.

The old saying “the successful do what the unsuccessful are unwilling to do” is very true.

There are certain things that need to be done to seriously grow your business. Most people will never do those things. It is really just that simple.

We get carried away in how great this comp. plan is or how great this marketing system is, and how good this new company is, etc. etc.

I’m here to tell you that none of that stuff really matters too much. What matters is your commitment to building your business yourself, and not relying too much on outside factors.

This is the difference between someone who has drawn that line, and someone that has not.

The person that has drawn the line has developed their own marketing systems. They do not rely on outside factors.

They have learned to create a marketing system that is uniquely themselves. They realize that depending on other people, other systems, or other advice is ok, but that they need to do something different to uniquely identify themselves in the market place.

This of course is where the “work” of creating a business lies. Anyone can come into a business and talk to a few friends, and put up a website. Some people will even go so far as to purchase leads.

Drawing that line in the sand really means that you are going to grow your business no matter what. You are going to create a unique marketing system that is specific to you and your opportunity. You are going to educate yourself as best as you can about marketing. You are going to do the things that most people will not do to create success for yourself, and for your family. You will truly be a leader, shining the light for those that follow.

The answers are out there. The solutions exist. The people that will show you how are just waiting for the people that are serious to contact them. Have you heard that when the student is ready, the teacher appears?

You need to draw that line, and the cross over it, into the darkness of the unknown and create your own path to success.

Will you make mistakes? Yes. Will you spend money? Yes. Will it take a lot of time and energy? Yes. Will it be frustrating and make you mad sometimes? Yes.

Will it be one of the most rewarding things that you have done with your life? Absolutely.

Draw that line in the sand.
